Welcome to Guitar Secrets
Lead Guitar Made Easy

This progression uses the guitar chords of D major, G major and A major. This is called a 1 - 4 - 5 progression in the key of D major. I'm trying to get the point across, that you can basically play any guitar chord horizontally along the guitar fret-board. Notice that I'm using the open D chord fingering pattern to play the G major and A major chords. Once you understand this concept, there will be endless possibilities. I'm working on a guitar lesson that goes into much more depth and will explain how you can move all the chords in the key of D major.
